Rio Grande Celtic Festival
One of our favorite events each year. Locatedat the Balloon Fiesta Park. A celebration of the seven Celtic nations here in New Mexico, the Rio Grande Valley Celtic Festival gives participants the opportunity to see and learn about many of the arts and athletics as well as the culture of nations like Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Brittany, Isle of Man, Cornwall and Galicia.
There will be highland games, music, bagpipe marches, local food and vendors galore!

Walpurgisnacht Market in Old Town
Come celebrate Old Town's version of the ancient tradition of Walpurgis Night!
Normally celebrated on the eve of April 30th when “witches” (wise women, healers, etc) gathered on the mountaintops in Germany to light sacred bonfires, dance and cast spells in order to drive away the spirits of winter and welcome the arrival of spring. These ancient rituals have their roots in the worship of fertility goddesses such as Nehalennia and also have ties to the theme of the Wild Hunt.
